Loudoun County, Virginia-based Cuisine Solutions has expanded their global headquarters in order to meet the rapidly growing, worldwide demand for their products. The company’s expansion added 63,000 square feet of additional space and close to $70 million in equipment, technology and construction to their Sterling, VA facility.
“This is great news for an important Loudoun company, but it’s also great news for the diversity of the Loudoun economy. Cuisine Solutions has a great facility, a growing workforce, and we are very thankful for the commitment and investment they have made in the county,” said the Chair of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, Phyllis Randall.
Cuisine Solutions is the largest “sous vide” company in the world, and a proud supplier of restaurant-quality meals to American men and women in uniform serving in every corner of the globe. Cuisine Solutions’ Chief Scientist, Dr. Bruno Goussault, pioneered the technique known as “sous vide,” which allows the company to offer gourmet food that can be shipped and stored without harmful preservatives and without the loss of flavor or texture.
“This is a very impressive company and we are excited for their growth in the Broad Run District, and I’m proud to point out we have an Albert Einstein Legacy Project Genius in our midst. Dr. Goussault has trained more than 80 percent of the chefs who’ve earned three Michelin stars, the guide’s highest ranking,” said Loudoun Supervisor Ron Meyer.
The company produces a range of food items that are enjoyed in “fast-casual” restaurants, by passengers on cruise ships and airlines, and among guests at prestigious resorts.
“Cuisine Solutions’ clients are international brands with household names,” said Loudoun Economic Development’s Executive Director Buddy Rizer. “They are proof positive that with an international airport, a top-notch workforce and a supportive business environment, global success is #LoudounPossible.”
The county is working with the company to finalize an incentive package that is pending approval by the Board of Supervisors, and a new road leading into the Sterling headquarters to be called “Sous Vide Lane.”

“Over the last several years, we have worked closely with various groups within Loudoun County to expand our production capabilities. These resources, coupled with the proximity to multiple means of transportation, have made Loudoun County an ideal headquarters location,” said Cuisine Solutions’ CFO Mark Kujawa.
