Today, beers are being brewed across the U.S. with yeast that was isolated and stored in Loudoun County, by a microbiologist who came to Ashburn to be a neuroscientist at HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus.

The Loudoun Small Business Development Center (SBDC), which is a program of the Mason Enterprise Center Loudoun, is a non-profit, grant funded program helping small businesses and entrepreneurs start, grow and prosper by providing unbias, no-cost advising services and targeted trainings. The SBDC partners with local community organizations including Loudoun County and the Town of Leesburg, as well as, other corporate sponsors. The SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration (SBA).
