A 2012 vote by the Board of Supervisors cleared the way for approval and funding for the second phase of D.C. Metrorail’s Silver Line extension. The extension, which when finished will connect Ashburn to Dulles International Airport and the D.C. region beyond, is expected to be an economic development game-changer for the county.
