Before Brocade\, he worked as the Director of Environment & Sustainability for the Information Technology Industry Council\, the Director of Technology & Innovation Policy for the Telecommunications Industry Association\, and the Director of Global Government Relations for Nortel Networks.  He started his career as a software developer in his hometown of Orem\, Utah. \nJoseph graduated from George Washington University Law School\, studied international law at Oxford University\, and did undergraduate work at Brigham Young University. \nHaving also been active in local politics\, Joseph has served as a city councilmember\, an acting mayor\, and on numerous boards and commissions. \nHe lives in Leesburg\, Virginia with his wife and three children.
