DESCRIPTION:Presented by Data Center and Cloud Committee \nOn January 9th\, NVTC will publish the third edition of its report “The Economic and Fiscal Contribution that Data Centers Make to Virginia.” At this meeting\, the NVTC Data Center and Cloud Committee will receive an exclusive briefing from Fletcher Mangum\, Ph.D.\, CEO of Mangum Economic Consulting\, who conducted the research on behalf of NVTC. \nIn addition to updating many of the key metrics and indicators utilized in past reports\, the new report will provide an update data on state incentives across the United States and Virginia’s competitive position\, include additional focus on actions taken by local Virginia jurisdictions to attract more data center investment\, expand on efforts taken by the data center sector to increase access to renewable energy\, and provide an updated assessment on the undersea cable landings in Virginia and the opportunities provided.
