Ramona Thompson serves as the Digital Marketing and Content Strategy Manager for Loudoun Economic Development. She is responsible for the digital properties and online presence of the department including content creation, marketing and PR campaigns, social media management, and website maintenance.
She brings a variegated background to the department having had roles in litigation support, international tradeshows, and higher education. She led the marketing department for the Newark Downtown District, a business improvement district in New Jersey, where she focused on community development marketing strategies to retain and attract new businesses, residents, programs, and services within the downtown area.
Ramona obtained her bachelor’s degree in marketing and social media and her master’s in communication and public relations from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New Hampshire. She also earned her Certified Marketing Professional designation from LERN (The Learning Resource Network).
A New Jersey native, Ramona currently resides in Stephens City with her partner and son. During her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, contributing to the community, and being an avid reader. She and her partner also love to take their motorcycles to see the stunning views that Virginia has to offer.
