Nancy Evanko serves as Workforce Development Manager and leads the Work In Loudoun program which was launched in 2021 to connect jobseekers with career opportunities. The program offers professional resources to three key populations: jobseekers, employers, and the Loudoun business community.

Nancy’s responsibilities include conducting employer consultations to identify workforce needs, providing customized solutions and resources to address employer challenges, and collaborating with community partners to develop and promote initiatives for talent attraction, retention, training, and upskilling. She also uses tools that deliver noteworthy value including a robust calendar of events, labor market data, the Loudoun Jobs Portal, which aggregates open roles across the county into one searchable tool, and more.

Nancy employs strong communication, problem-solving, and partnership-building skills to effectively support local businesses and foster a strong workforce ecosystem are essential to her work.

Working at an early age, Nancy learned the importance of a strong work ethic and the significance of building relationships. She also discovered her love of learning. As a military spouse, Nancy began her career in the District Attorney’s Office in Cheyenne, Wyoming collaborating on projects that included the first Victim-Witness Assistance Program, processing incoming pleadings, orders, motions, correspondence, and court documents. She then had an extensive career in business development and human resources where her roles spanned a national scope to include acquisitions and mergers, marketing and public affairs, leadership across multi-state operations, partnership management and relationship development across federal, state, local and community organizations, talent acquisition, strategic planning, and employer branding, research and labor market data analysis, and training and professional development.

Nancy is a member of several boards across Loudoun County and Northern Virginia, and the Society of Human Resources Management.

A long-time resident of Virginia, Nancy and her husband moved to the Loudoun County community in 2019.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, San Bernardino with concentrations in business and public administration and a master’s degree in human resources management from Troy University.

Outside of work, Nancy enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her large family and pups, traveling, supporting the military community, and music.
