SUMMARY:Attracting & Captivating Diverse Talent Through Benefits Equity
DESCRIPTION:Nearly half of the U.S. population has employment based health insurance coverage. Thus employers are critical in helping to close the health equity gap by creating quality access to health services and promoting health literacy. \nEmployee Benefits can be a key deciding factor for potential employees who are choosing their next workplace and a morale booster for existing employees\, especially those who identify as Black\, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC). However\, organizations that do not provide equity and education through benefits offerings\, will fall short of decreasing the disparity of health outcomes for BIPOC employees and their families. \nIn this presentation\, attendees will learn:\n \n\nWhat are the 5 Social Determinants of Health (SDOH).\nWhy Employee Benefits Equity must be a key area of focus within a DE&I strategy\nHow to create policies and practices that support health access and literacy.
