Susan Henson

As regional director for Mason Enterprise Center programs in Loudoun County, Susan Henson runs the incubator and oversees the SBDC program, leading a team of high-performing professionals. She reaches broadly into the community to market MEC programs, forge partnerships, make connections to George Mason, and engage with stakeholders and potential sponsors.

Henson brings to the MEC more than 25 years of experience in innovative program development, tactical business advising, training, human resources, customer service, operations, retail management and apparel manufacturing.

Previous roles includes work at the Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Centers in Kansas City and serving on the faculty at the University of Missouri as the coordinator of the Missouri Textile & Apparel Center. She grew up in Blacksburg and attended Virginia Tech University for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
