SUMMARY:FAMACHA Certification Workshop
DESCRIPTION:FAMACHA© CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP \nVCE is hosting a FAMACHA© certification workshop for adults\, 4-H Youth members\, FFA students\, and other youths who raise small ruminants. \nUse of the FAMACHA© system allows producers to make deworming decisions based on an estimate of the level of anemia in sheep and goats associated with barber pole worm (Haemonchus contortus) infection. \nParticipants will be trained and certified in the FAMACHA© system of parasite management\, the Five-Point Check\, and assigning a DAG Score. At the conclusion of the workshop\, you will receive a FAMACHA© card and a certificate (attendance required entire time to become FAMACHA© certified). Both classroom and hands-on instruction will be provided.
