SUMMARY:Seeds for Success 2: Raise Attendance at Your Next Event
DESCRIPTION:Hosting events for your business is a great way to attract customers and share your brand experience. It is considered one of the most effective forms of marketing\, ahead of social media and traditional advertising. \nBut it’s more than just picking a date and hoping people show up. \nLearn from event marketing experts and fellow rural business owners that succeed by focusing on: \n\nChoosing the right date\, time and location;\nCustomer experience;\nSocial media marketing;\nLeveraging the media;\nCapturing customer information;\nEncouraging repeat customers.\n\nThe event will be held in the Loudoun Cooperative Extension Training Room. \n Name:*FirstLast E-mail:* Farm/Business Name:* Have you already joined the Loudoun Made\, Loudoun Grown program?*YesNot YetSubmitReset\nAbout the Panelists:\nMolly Kroiz\, Owner and Cheesemaker\, Georges Mill Farm \nKroiz came to farming and cheesemaking after starting her professional journey in marine biology. Together with her husband\, Sam\, she raises a herd of Alpine goats in Lovettsville\, making goats’ milk cheeses and welcoming the community to their 250-year-old farm property with activities like barn dances and baby goat feeding sessions in spring. \nChris Burns\, President and Co-Owner\, Old Ox Brewery \nBurns started home brewing as a hobby and a way to connect with family and friends on a regular basis. That sense of community has grown stronger with the success of Old Ox Brewery\, including partnerships to host academic\, business\, storytelling\, music\, and sports entertainment events. Burns knows that there’s more to successful events than just good beer! \nKatie Fleger\, Meeting and Events Planner\, Loudoun Economic Development\nIn addition to working on the department’s signature events\, Fleger focusses on developing the department’s meeting and event strategy. With 10 years of experience\, she has worked in both the non-profit and corporate fields. SUMMARY:Loudoun County Cybersecurity Professionals Meetup
DESCRIPTION:Loudoun Cyber Meetup: Intelligent Phishing Defense \nAt our July 28th Meetup\, we’ll learn how a local Loudoun company is addressing a global problem: phishing. If you’re in cybersecurity\, you know the danger of phishing as an attack vector for credential-theft or malware. Cofense\, a standout Loudoun County success story headquartered in Leesburg\, offers a Phishing Detection and Response platform that catches the phishing emails that secure email gateways inevitably miss. \nWe’ll hear from Mr. Aaron Higbee\, Co-founder and CTO of Cofense. Aaron has more than 20 years of cybersecurity and senior management leadership. His prior experience includes senior security and consulting roles at McAfee Foundstone\, Lucent\, and Time Warner Cable. \nAaron pioneered the best practice of phishing simulations\, now embraced by security teams in every major industry. He has driven research and development for the Cofense phishing defense platform. Under his guidance\, Cofense has become the global leader in intelligent phishing defense\, instructing millions of end users to recognize and report phishing threats and providing security operations teams with actionable phishing intelligence. \nI hope you can join us back at Old Ox on July 28th. Please click here to RSVP on Meetup. \nIf you require a reasonable accommodation for any type of disability in order to participate in Loudoun County Cybersecurity Professionals\, please contact Katie Fleger at 703-737-8612 (TTY 711).
