DESCRIPTION:Details\n\nThis month’s event will feature Rich Vinnacombe\, Deputy Director\, U.S. State Dept Small Business Office and Anna Urman\, Senior Procurement Analyst\, U.S. State Dept (contractor). In FY2018 the U.S. State Dept met and exceeded all its small business and socioeconomic contracting goals. Come find out how your company might be one of those companies helping the State Dept meet its goals in coming years. Our presenters will share key information about how small contractors can position themselves to win work with the Department. Attendees should come prepared with questions\, since this will be an interactive session. \nThe Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) ensures that all legislatively specified categories of small businesses in prime contracts and subcontracts are effectively utilized to the maximum extent possible. This team champions U.S. small business interests in the Department’s acquisition process and provides to the small business community training and counseling about doing business with the Department of State in order to expand the base of small business firms selling to the Department. \nAfter the session Mr. Vinnacombe and Ms. Urman will have match-making appointments with interested companies.
