‘Loudoun Is Ready’ Pledge Launched to Show Consumers that Loudoun’s Businesses are Ready to Reopen

The three largest organizations that support Loudoun County’s business community have launched the “Loudoun Is Ready” campaign, to prepare local businesses and consumers to reopen safely, as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Created by Loudoun Economic Development, Visit Loudoun and the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, “Loudoun Is Ready” unites business owners and boosts consumer confidence as they look to return to the restaurants, shops, wineries, breweries and other businesses that call Loudoun home.

“Loudoun’s economy has been incredibly resilient in the face of an unprecedented interruption. As #LoudounPossible businesses look forward to recovery and the prospects of new operating procedures, this pledge can help guide those efforts and instill confidence in their staff, clients and consumers,” Loudoun Economic Development Executive Director Buddy Rizer said. “Taking the ‘Loudoun Is Ready’ pledge is an easy way to showcase a business’ dedication to the highest standards of health and safety.”

Companies in Loudoun are encouraged to take a pledge that they will meet the latest safety guidelines outlined by the Virginia Department of Health and Centers for Disease Prevention and Control. Participating companies will range from restaurants, farms and craft beverage providers to offices, gyms, hotels and any other business that serves residents and visitors.

“It is important the three organizations take a united approach and unveil a well-executed plan that brings the business community back on line,” Visit Loudoun President and CEO Beth Erickson said. “We want to assure anyone looking to come to Loudoun that the county is committed to not only providing memorable experiences but also to the safety of its visitors when the time is right to open.”

Participants will be offered a digital toolkit and a Loudoun Is Ready sticker to display in their business’ window, as well as be listed on Loudounisready.com. The red and gold logo will also be available as a campaign button for Loudoun’s workforce and be placed on floor stickers for businesses to mark where customers can safely stand six feet apart.

“Loudoun County’s business community has done an exemplary job of helping to halt the spread of the coronavirus, by adhering to the severe restrictions that have been placed on their operations, employees and customers for the past 10 weeks. With the “Loudoun Is Ready” campaign, we will help our businesses and their employees recover from this crisis and begin to repay them for that they have lost in sacrifice to the health and well-being of our families, friends and community,” said Tony Howard, President & CEO of the Loudoun  Chamber of Commerce.

The campaign, which can be followed through #LoudounIsReady, will also include a “We Are Ready” video featuring local business owners. The video will be displayed on all three organizations’ websites and used in marketing, particularly to residents, meeting planners, visitors and sports teams looking to come to Loudoun.

“Based on tourism industry research, visitors will look to destinations that are committed to safety and this campaign assures visitors and residents alike that the Loudoun business community is dedicated to everyone’s wellbeing as they reopen,” Erickson said.
