The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Virginia is not yet on the list of eligible states, but the Governor has declared a state of emergency and Loudoun County declared a local emergency to help our small businesses become eligible. If you are a small business survey please complete this survey provided by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity  as soon as possible but before 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2020 to help with the State and Federal response and getting Virginia on the eligible areas list.

I have two restaurants in Loudoun that are being negatively impacted and in desperate need for working capital funding that we have not yet seen! We need access to the SBA Disaster Loan program that was authorized almost 2 weeks ago I believe to survive and avoid having to lay people off! Our VA state and local Govt representatives need to be escalating to SBA or whoever the hell has to make the disaster declaration for Loudoun County – it was made for Fairfax and Arlington but not us?? Makes no sense – every day that goes by is another step closer for restaurants and other businesses to go bankrupt – need to act TODAY – cut through the bureaucratic red tape and get it done! Our new restaurant just opened a month ago so we are especially vulnerable as we were just in the midst of trying to build our customer base and revenues and we are bleeding cash.
