Telos is one of Loudoun County’s major employers, and they recently took over Economic Development’s Instagram account to show some of the people who make our world more secure.

The Telos Corporation is a cybersecurity and software solutions company that is headquartered in the heart of Loudoun County. It’s ranked among the top 25 on the global Cybersecurity 500 list.

The company has also received the prestigious James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award from the Defense Security Service, awarded to less than one percent of eligible organizations.

Telos is led by CEO and President John B. Wood, who has an entrepreneurial background and came to Loudoun in the 1990s to take the helm at Telos.

Since then, much has changed for Wood and Telos. Under Wood’s leadership the company’s product portfolio has diversified and its footprint expanded to include commercial enterprises, the military, civilian and intelligence agencies of the federal government, and allied nations around the world.

“I have worked in Loudoun County for over 20 years and have seen massive changes as the economy has evolved,” Wood said. “Today, we have a great education system, friendly business environment and community, an educated workforce, a good transportation system (with the completion of rail), a close proximity to D.C., and a night-time economy.

“All of these factor into why we decided to commit ourselves to Loudoun.”

Telos empowers and protects the world’s most security-conscious organizations with solutions and services for continuous security assurance of individuals, systems and information security, and cyber.

Check out what they posted on the @LoudounBiz Instagram account. Amazing work, and amazing people doing it!
