Major Employers to Offer Jobs at “Hire Loudoun” Event

Loudoun County’s diverse economy is fueled by Loudoun’s world-class workforce. The second annual “Hire Loudoun” career fair will seek to connect job seekers and employers.

Loudoun-based employers who have full-time, part-time or intern positions to fill are asked to participate in “Hire Loudoun” on Wednesday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Loudoun is fortunate to have an incredibly talented workforce. ‘Hire Loudoun’ gives local employers the chance to tap into that amazing resource and gives our residents the chance to find the perfect job closer to home,” says Loudoun Economic Development’s Executive Director Buddy Rizer.

His department is hosting the “Hire Loudoun” career fair, along with the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and Purpose WorX.

About half of Loudoun’s workforce have jobs outside the county, and almost 10,000 of them commute into D.C. for work – a drive that could cost nearly $30 one-way if a commuter has to use all three toll roads.

Add in two or more hours in traffic each way, and the toll is even higher on employees’ vehicles, bodies and stress levels. It would be better for more of the workforce to live in Loudoun and work in Loudoun. “Hire Loudoun” helps make that #LoudounPossible.

Companies that have already committed to participating in “Hire Loudoun” this year include:
