Research, development and manufacturing of new products such as pharmaceuticals, agricultural and consumer products must go through a rigorous regulatory review and approval process before they can be sold to the public. The next time you reach for a prescription medicine, it is likely that some of the research and development materials supporting that product are stored right here in Loudoun County.
For 40 years, EPL Archives has served as a trusted partner to clients worldwide in the consolidation and preservation of their material from their international headquarters in Loudoun County.
This commitment to our community was recently celebrated with the grand opening of their newest purpose-built biorepository facility that adds up to 1.5 million cubic feet of additional storage capacity to their facility network. Situated on a 24-acre campus, this innovative facility is the first of three planned on the Airport Commerce Park campus.
EPL Archives manages their international business using their own proprietary LabTrak® material management system that supports the unique business requirements of their clients and ensures the rapid retrieval and distribution of these materials to enable science worldwide.
It’s exciting to have such a critical partner to the research industries right here in Loudoun County. Loudoun Economic Development congratulates the entire EPL Archives team, along with VWR, Avantor, and everyone else associated with this successful venture that is helping to create the future of health here in Loudoun.
