Many counties claim to be “business-friendly,” but few back it up in the way Loudoun County has, especially in recent years.

During a recent presentation to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, Loudoun Economic Development Executive Director Buddy Rizer had a chance to recap the county’s success over the last three years:

“When we close the book on FY ’17, Loudoun will likely attract more than $2 billion of new commercial investment from more than 75 companies. This will close out a three-year period in which we have attracted more than $5 billion in new investment and more than 5,000 jobs,” Rizer told the board, adding that they deserve much of the credit for creating an environment where ‘business-friendly’ has become a way of life.

“You have supported an economic development strategy that has helped create a world-class, diverse economy,” Rizer said.

“While we never take our success for granted, we go forward with a strong sense of confidence in Loudoun’s ability to attract new business, help our current base succeed and expand, support our thriving rural economy, and create an environment where entrepreneurs can build the companies of the future.”
