Loudoun Projects Win Commercial Real Estate Excellence Awards

The Northern Virginia chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has selected its 2016 Best of NAIOP winners, and the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development is pleased to announce that four Loudoun projects were among the winners.

The AOL Steve Case Center renovation won an award of excellence. The nomination was submitted by Collective Architecture; team members included AOL and E.E. Reed Construction. The center is located in Sterling.

HITT Contracting nominated Digital J, located in Ashburn. Herring & Trowbridge Architects were team members on the Ashburn project, which won an award of excellence.

First Potomac Realty Trust nominated an undisclosed client in the category “Build-to-Suit Institutional Facility, $20 Million and Above.” Team members included DVA Architects, James G. Davis Construction Corporation, and Avison Young. The project won an award of excellence.

K2M won an award of merit for its global headquarters, located in Leesburg. The nomination was submitted by Trammell Crow/Keane Enterprises, and team members included MGMA, SKB Architecture, Vantage Construction, HITT Contracting, and CBRE.

“We’re proud that these Loudoun-based companies are not only doing important work around the world, but their physical facilities are also world-class work places for their employees,” said Economic Development’s Executive Director, Buddy Rizer.
