Small Business Week 2013 is fast approaching, and Loudoun Economic Development and our partners are putting on a full slate of events. From June 3-7, entrepreneurs can learn how to find a co-founder, job seekers can attend a job fair, and in a special event, business owners can learn how to find, hire and keep remarkable people.

In this free seminar, the Loudoun Department of Economic Development will help you find the right employees for your business. A panel of successful business owners will be on hand to teach you how to locate, screen and promote remarkable employees. Topics will include where to look for talent, hiring for culture and skills, levering technology for your workforce and how to promote and encourage excellence. Ara Bagdasarian, CEO and Co-Founder of Omnilert, will be the panel’s moderator.

The evening’s keynote will be delivered by Lou Paladeau, who led the Marriott Corporation for over 20 years. He will discuss his experience using “The Marriott Way” of treating employees. Now retired, Paladeau has turned to entrepreneurship and is the CFO/COO of a new Loudoun-based startup.
