Loudoun Recognizes Entrepreneurs During Small Business Week 2012

May 21-25 was National Small Business Week. Loudoun Economic Development had a full slate of programs that aimed to both celebrate small business and to promote small business growth through forums, workshops and networking mixers.

One of the ways we showed our appreciation was by honoring a dozen of Loudoun’s small businesses with commemorative plaques. Our Small Business/Entrepreneur Manager Debi Roder said that the recognition was an “opportunity to highlight and thank Loudoun entrepreneurs for the exciting, innovative and hard work they are performing year round.”

Roder, along with other staff members, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors members and their aides, visited the businesses to deliver their plaques and check out some day-to-day operations.

While the organizations recognized represent only a small portion of Loudoun’s many thriving companies, the selection showcases Loudoun’s diverse market. Among those recognized were Talino Technologies, a federal contracting firm, Sagetopia, a graphic design firm, SecureForce, an Information Security Assessment firm, and Fabbioli Cellars, one of Loudoun’s many wineries.

Loudoun’s Small Business Week showed that, as Roder said, “From the East to the West, Loudoun business owners are thinking creatively, engaging with the community and providing the highest-quality products and services.
