Greater Good. By tapping the talent and expertise from local businesses, the Department of Economic Development has leveraged the power of public-private partnerships, creatively focusing efforts to meeting the county's goals for economic development.

We consider an important part of our mission is to introduce business leaders to one another and to provide opportunities where they can collaborate. That’s the theory behind everything we’ve created – the Economic Development Commission, the Rural Economic Development Council, the CEO Cabinet, Design Cabinet, and Science and Technology Cabinet.

We consider ourselves quite lucky to be in a county where such extraordinary business talent makes a commitment not only to their own success, but also contribute their time, ideas, and energy to the greater good of the entire community.
